Teaching Philosophy
I aim to help every student – regardless of age, experience, or ability – to receive a well-rounded music education. Every lesson will be tailored to the individual person; this includes adapting activities to their learning style and finding pieces that suit their interests. I hope through my teaching to help every student develop a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
About Private Piano Lessons
-
Private lessons are offered for students of ALL ages and experience levels.
-
I am currently accepting new students for lessons in Seattle, WA.
-
Repertoire choices will be grounded in classical music, but students will also be encouraged to explore other genres such as jazz, pop, and broadway according to their interests.
-
Lessons will provide a foundation of healthy technique that focuses on listening to your body and releasing tension.
-
In addition to technique, students will explore musicality, creativity, rhythmic exercises, ear training, music history, and music theory concepts to help them become well-rounded musicians.
